JAYSON CURRY

Licensed professional counselor

Jayson’s passion for counseling comes from the journey of his own life. Jayson hopes to help people engage their own story and daily struggles they are experiencing. He is committed to making sure people feel known and seen while acting as a guide through the dark places this world seems to provide.

Jayson has been involved with art from a young age and enjoys bringing creative elements into the counseling room. Creative elements like painting, pictures, music, and the use of metaphor are all ways people can begin to express themselves in new and honest ways. Jayson hopes to continue using these artistic forms of counseling after experiencing how helpful they are in connecting and expressing emotions. He is certified in “First Aid Arts” which is an arts-based form of healing that helps people who have experienced forms of trauma.

Jayson has experience in working with clients working through trauma, abuse, grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, spiritual concerns, relationship issues, and family of origin issues. He enjoys working with adults and adolescents. Jayson is trained in EMDR counseling which is an extensively researched and effective treatment for trauma (including everyday traumas that can lead to depression).

Jayson graduated with his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. He enjoys finding beautiful places to run and walk, listening to music, cooking food, watching documentaries, and spending time with his family.

ANNA FASANELLO

COUNSELING STUDENT INTERN (UNDER THE SUPERVISON OF KRISTINA CURRY, LPC-S)

Anna’s passion for counseling comes from her deep gratitude for the healing space she has experienced while sitting in front of a counselor during more difficult seasons of life. The ever-flowing and shifting experience of life can encompass joy, worry, hurt, beauty, and difficulty. Sometimes one at a time. Sometimes all at once. Anna believes that everyone is deserving of an empathetic witness to oneself and one's life. Everyone deserves to be seen, to be considered, to be heard, and for space to be held for them no matter the story they emerge from or the moments yet to come.

Anna has a passion for working with those experiencing major life transitions such as grief, loss, birth, postpartum, and new parenthood. Processing trauma is welcomed and held in this space. Anna also warmly affirms and supports clients in LGBTQAI+ communities.
